New Planning Chair: Francoise “Carriers” the Day!
Regarding New Planning Board Chair:
MCA Staff, along with other civic activists, watched in awe and admiration as the Council interviewed Francoise Carrier for the Planning Board Chair position. She was honest, engaging, poised, humorous and intelligent. Her planning and business acumen were obvious to all in attendance. The Council, save perhaps Ms. Floreen and Mr. Knapp who seemed a little unhappy, were bowled over. The WPost reports that Carrier will be appointed by acclamation per Valerie Ervin.
Many thanks to all the wrote in. Francoise was clearly buoyed by citizen and civic group support. She was the only candidate to specifiy stewardship of County Parks and preservation of the Ag Reserve.
